The Society was formed in 1981 to encourage the enjoyment of art and to support artists of all standards. Today, we have a thriving society with the same remit. Members range from absolute beginners to well established, exhibiting artists. Our excellent regular newsletters keep us all in touch with one another and with what is going on in the local art world and beyond.

MKSA is a friendly and active society whose members meet monthly from January to November for guest artist demonstrations, talks and other activities. Visitors are welcome to join us at these meetings for a small fee.

Following on from meetings, members often have the opportunity to attend workshops and learn directly

from well known, celebrity artists.
Regular painting days give members a venue for painting together.
Additionally, members also enjoy ad hoc ‘en plein air’ and location painting sessions.

Many of our members are keen exhibitors and, as well as the gallery section on this website, members have the opportunity to exhibit their work for sale in an excellent permanent exhibition space at the Camphill Cafe and in

our temporary seasonal exhibitions.
